ABOUT ME and my SHOP

This is a personal webshop. I sell records from my private collection here.
I have been working in a records store for a big part of my life.
People working in record stores tend to buy records, play them once, maybe twice, store them and go on hunting new records.
Always hunting for new music, and sometimes just forgetting to play the old. It's a bit of a habit, I'm afraid.

Looking at my collection, I realized that quite a lot of records were left unplayed. I decided there were only few titles I could live without...I just grew over the collecting habit. But these may be records that other people (like you?) were searching for for quite some time. I decided I might try to find them a home with someone that cares for the music more than I do.

Discogs is one of the ways to do this, of course. Most items you see here are available at Discogs too (but if you order them here it saves me some of the online selling fees). My Discogs feedback represents some of my 'online trading values'.
I don't do this to get rich but I really enjoy my records finding a new owner.

If you want some more information about the records I sell, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Hope to meet you online!

Peter

GRADING

When 'grading' the records (= describing the condition of the record and it's sleeve), I use the 'Record Collector's' definitions. These are commonly used among people trading vinyl records. You can find the description below.

I only sell records in the categories Mint / Excellent / Very Good. Occasionally a record is interesting enough to sell even though it grades 'Good'. This will alway be stated in the description. I do NOT sell records grading as fair, poor or bad!

MINT
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheets, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD
The record has been played so much that thesound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.
The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

CD's
CD's are difficult to grade visually: they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly.
CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves.
In general, the plastic containers for CD's can easily be replaced if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipacks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves.
